How Can severe Leg Pain Be Treated?

My 70 year old husband was seen 3 days ago for very high blood pressure (200/90). The cardiologist put him on medication immediately which is helping to bring it down. Yesterday he started having severe pain up and down his legs. could this be a side effect of the blood pressure Rx?

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and plan for a Doppler to rule out conditions like DVT.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
